In spite of his hectic schedule and travel, he never misses his two prime hobbies; reading and writing. His valuable articles have been frequently published, republished and demanded in all spiritual magazines. His notes, hints, essays, messages and collections are sources of knowledge treasure which has universal need and applicability. That such a serious supernatural entity having an enterprising and humorous face is a little hard to believe. It will be considered as a fiction or an exaggeration if it is rightly mentioned here that Dr. Bhaktavatsalam is a talented cook, nutrition scientist, dietrician and food science scholar. Taste studies, health research, waste control, varieties management and food therapy are some of the new areas in which he remains as an unopposed eye opener. Without any reservation and hesitation, wherever he goes, he supervises, advises and also responsibly tastes the food items and brings order, novelty, richness and royalty in cooking and serving process. Having him inside our kitchen is indeed an enthralling experience.

One without a Second

Whenever he is in peak mood of performance, nobody dares to perform with him and even before and behind him. He is also known for his organizing skills which he has proved through various group concerts and theme based programs. He excels in event and stage management with which he has enriched hundreds of concerts with unparalleled ambiance and grandeur.

This rare photograph was taken at one of his motivation workshops where he demonstrated confidence engineering and reflective dynamism by holding a big rock. "By holding this rock, I am free to have a forceful imagination that I have moved the rock from the plain to the top and even that I am preventing its falling by holding it" he added, and electrified the participants. "If carried by a proper person towards a definite destination, motivation is so powerful that it can bring life even in the dead" he roared.

Swimming and deep sea diving is the crown of his multiple expertise. By sincere and herculean practice, he says that he is able to decipher the language of waves and decode their suggestions, warnings and other specifications. It is well known to the yogic community that he is the first 'Sadhak'(practitioner) to introduce and inculcate the technique of under water meditation. Even pranayama, according to Bhakta's school of yoga promoted by him, is more vibrant and effective, if it is practised and performed in under water surfaces. Due to nonavailability of technical facilities, his deep water meditation photo could not be published.

Dr. Bhaktavatsalam always served as an uninvited and unappointed ambassador for cross cultural binding. He derives pleasure and distributes the same by fixing himself to the fashions of various ethnic, national, religious and provincial customs. The beauty and boon in this fusion is his appropriate suitability and inseparable identity with the language, behavior and customs of any suit that embellishes him.

But he stressed the need for political awareness and executive responsibility for the democratic subjects, while his main focus was on the youth especially the student community. Even though he is not in active politics, he is serving as helping brother, guiding spirit and linking bridge between political parties and personalities.

His research articles cover wider and unimaginable dimensions like Dance Therapy for safe delivery, Dance and Family Peace, comparative study of people's dance with peacock etc. He has guided, coached and kindled the spark and specialization in innumerable dance lovers, practitioners and even authorities. The title 'Bharata Kala Bhaskara' was conferred on him in 1992 when he staged a special dance program 'Shiva Mohineeyam' where he amazingly danced using only his right toe thumb for three hours.

A Man for Women

He staunchly believes in the revolutionary ideals of poet Bharati for women's liberation. The elite feminine organizations always extol him as a savior and guardian for women rights, equality, education and empowerment. He has led lot of campaigns against subhuman treatment, harassment and cruelty to women due to gender, caste and religious bias. Committed wholly for the upliftment and the progress of the mother and the goddess community Bhaktavatsalam renounced his job and is now being patronized by his wife who fully supports his noble campaign.

Car, Wheel and Axis

Unlike other orthodox reformers, he never underestimated the significance of festivals. In most of his workshops, conferences and public speeches repetitively he said that festivals are divine plans designed for public participation, unity and social progress. Advanced inspiration, art of charity and indiscriminate view are all fashioned only in public festivals. The whole society is a car moving on a journey towards God. Devotees are the wheels mobilizing them and the holy personalities being the axis of wheels. Even though dedicated for public service, he always attributes the source of his strength and spirit to nature, music and loneliness.
